Yesterday, I made a delightful little discovery. The new B61 bus route here in Brooklyn takes me from my house to IKEA in 20 minutes flat. So obviously, I popped over for an afternoon visit to see what's new and exciting and to pick up a copy of their annual catalog.
Here's a few of my top picks:
IDGRUND 3 Piece Bathroom Set // $12.99
I LOVE these heavy, smoky glass pieces. Although I don't need any more bathroom supplies, I do think the two taller vessels would be gorgeous vases throughout the house and the soap dish could be amazing near the front door for keys or on the desk for paperclips.
KARLSTAD Leather Sofa // $899
Brown Leather? Check. Tufting galore? Check. Great price? Check. I am so glad to see IKEA using tufting on a few of their upholstery pieces this year. It's such a simple addition that creates major impact. I would swap out the legs on this, however. Luckily, IKEA offers additional leg options including a new (and quite stunning) chrome finished underframe available early next year.
VILMIE FIGUR Cushion Cover // $10
I have a feeling that this pillow will be making heavy rotation among the design blogs. With it's great tribal inspired pattern, amazing woven texture and unbeatable price, it's a textile trifecta that works in just about any space. It might become the newest addition to the bedroom update I'm working on.
Happy Friday, Y'all.
